"I think this Foundations program has impacted me a lot because I knew I would have to go through some sort of schooling to be able to do what I want to do for the next 30 years of my life. With that being said, this program is wonderful! I would recommend it for all ages especially if you don't know what trade you want to get into because you get to talk to handfuls of people from different trades and learn more about what they do in their everyday life at work. I've always wanted to run heavy equipment and with this program I'll finally be able to start my journey with doing that."

"My name is Paul Regner and I cannot stress this enough, but Foundations is a life changing program. Whether you have it all together, or looking for a new career; this program is essential to take if you don’t mind working with your hands.
With that being said, I found out through Foundations that I really like the work in the electrical trade and am going to continue to pursue a career in it.
Take this program, the staff are wonderful and you have nothing to loose and everything to gain! It may change your life for the better too. You won’t regret it"

" My name is KaDen Davis and I’m from Portsmouth, Ohio. I graduated in 2020 from PHS with little to no idea what I wanted to do career wise. After a semester in college I had realized that it wasn’t for me. At the time, one of my family members informed me of the Foundations program.
I’m very grateful that I joined the program, the people there really want to see you do good for yourself. They’re willing to answer any questions, give advice, and provide any assistance you may need. I feel that I have a purpose in my life and I thank Foundations for that.
I’m finishing my Pre-Apprenticeship in the Electrical(Inside Wireman) Program. I’ve learned how to properly measure material, bend conduit, use power tools, operate lifts, and work with circuitry. I hope to use the skills and knowledge that I’ve learned to make a career out of it."

"My name is Shaun Blakenship. I came from a rough childhood which later led to drug use at a young age, and then led me to running the streets. Between the drugs and the streets I got wrapped up in an extensive criminal background. After living this lifestyle for 30 years I finally wanted a change and went to Ethans Crossing Detox Center. It was there I watched a video on a treatment center call TCC, which offered Crossfit work-outs and the opportunity to apply to the Foundations for the Trades Pre-Apprenticeship. When I saw that video I knew that's where I wanted to go.
The Counseling Center (TCC) helped me with obtaining skills and tools for my addiction, and helped my brain grow. Crossfit has helped me retrain my body, and Foundations for the Trades program has given me hope, pride, and joy.
I love coming to classes to learn something new every night. Just knowing this is the foundation of your career, is awesome. This is something I never thought I would have. I always thought I'd be working construction jobs that paid "under the table" for the rest of my life. Now I am looking forward to investing into a pension plan, and great healthcare benefits. The life I dreamed of when I was an addict, is now coming true.
I want to thank God, Ethan's Crossing, TCC, the Foundations program and it's staff, especially Dana and Carl. I can't thank all of you enough. You've given me the knowedge and tools I needed to live a clean, sober, and productive life and career."
